My review of the GTA franchise finally continues with Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories for the PS2. Footage was taken by ThirstyHyena due to our recording device breaking during production.

Had to stop the video at the point you said swimming+climbing were unecessary until GTA4. Completely disagree. GTA SA was such a good game because this one of it's great features.

Yes. I think only diving was unecessary.

Good review. I found LCS to be a bit bland too, especially when you compare it to VCS which has better storytelling and more gameplay features. I think they could have made LCS much better if instead of playing as Toni, you played as younger (like 30 to 40 years old) Salvatore who just came over from Sicily with his family and now has to build the Leone Family's empire in LC from the ground up. It also would have been neat to see a GTA game set in the 60s-70s again, which hasn't happened since GTA1 London.

To be fair, when Michael Madsen voiced that character in "GTA III", he pronounced his own name like that in the cutscene for the mission 'The Pick-Up'. But yeah, it's definitely pronounced Sip-pre-otti.
