Greek, Norse, Egypt and Chinese Mythology mentioned.
james the famous (2 months ago)
I've discovered that Freya isn't Odin's wife in Norse mythology. she's actually odr's wife. (but her best friend was truly a magical boar however she wasn't a witch!)
Nightmare Gamer (4 months ago)
gameranx when Kratos kills bulder, he says “the cycle ends here” as a reference to when Zeus kills him in god of war 2 also saying “the cycle ends here”
Ja'Michael Johnson (4 months ago)
The Shattered Gauntlet of the Ages is the Infinity Gauntlet
Ghost Of Sparta (4 months ago)
Nathaniel Enochs The Norse mythology dosent have any Titans..Expect for one which is Tahur or something like that..I forgot.

Hey have you guys found that racism being there way of the world reference in that elf realm?
2ndSTG (1 month ago)
favorite previous game reference is certainly when he breaks the pot he finds that has him on it. and unrelated to the previous sentence... i love when the game taps on the fourth wall with atreus saying, “you do love to break pottery.” knowing that all the players are smashing every pot we see, link style.
Broken Stick (2 months ago)
I haven’t seen anyone else pick up on it but when kratos wraps his arms back up at the start of the game you can hear chains rattle And he hesitates like he is in pain, hmmmmmm painful chains 🔗🔗
Broken Stick (2 months ago)
I guess it goes hand in hand with the end of the game when the bandages lift off like they are weightless. His hidden past was like chains holding him down and after he told the truth he’s chains were lifted

You said there's a cool item reveal you don't want to spoil and the next shot is kratos with the blades on his back
Selena Is Here (1 month ago)
No, he said the video is full of spoilers and that he wants you to experience them yourself. He never said he won't spoil them.
Flying Spaghetti Monster (2 months ago)
When talking about the 4 seasons puzzle, how the hell did you not mention the fact that Mimir started to sing the song before Kratos silences him...
My Good Lord (2 months ago)
Obviously talking about the blades at the beginning when you say "Find out for yourselves". First image you see..... Blades on your back. Well done sir, well done.
Angel Flores (2 months ago)
Where did you find these pictures, had to screenshot these ones
Brandon Guthrie (3 months ago)
Theres an ability where you shoot out some type of energy and the colours vary on which runes your using, and there are six of them, this is a reference to thanos
Appinfo88 (3 months ago)
I want to see Kratos go around killing all of the gods of war.
Archie De guzman (3 months ago)
how about the hydra or captain america reference? "1 question answered and 2 more shall take its place".

Where is the blade of olympus in God of War 4?
A DekuSkrub (3 months ago)
No love for the dnd reference
Nicholas Gallina (3 months ago)
I’d prefer it stayed at Norse because their is a job left unfinished in my opinion
TheVislo (3 months ago)
There's a labor in the game that called "Troll Toll" which is a reference to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, where there's an infamous episode the gang has create a play and Danny Devito says, "You gotta pay the Troll Toll to get in the Boy's Soul" its a play on words to make it sound like "Boy's Hole" lol.
Asian Persuasion (3 months ago)
What about the Shattered Gauntlet of Ages a reference to the Infinity Gauntlet in the MCU
NugNugz (3 months ago)
Maybe for number 6 it's the song Iroh sings in Avatar The Last Airbender, which also says winter, spring, summer and fall.
Alex Black (3 months ago)
Too bad we didn't actually get access to all the 9 realms. Vanaheim, Asgard and Svartalfheim remain locked from the beginning till the end.
Marcus Aurelius (3 months ago)
Fireball shot whenever you say ‘acknowledge’

God Of War is the best game of 2018
Sergio Guerra (4 months ago)
There's a goodfellas reference, goodfellas is a gangster movie another one is godfather. *hint hint*
Cr0me (4 months ago)
After Atreus kills the 2 Grendel, he says the line " Puny Troll" Since Atreus is Loki, this might be a reference to the Avengers.
Bohdan von Dábelsky (4 months ago)
You forgot the 11th Easter egg. Atreus is a child who specifically wields a bow and knife. This is an obvious reference to [insert random far reaching thing here] No wonder I unsubbed a while back.
Sergio Ramirez (4 months ago)
Best easter egg is when Kratos uses a line from Zeus. When he finally kills Baldur he tells him "the cycle ends here". Zeus told Kratos the exact same thing.
Big Dog (4 months ago)
Kratos still has the mark on his chest from when he tried to kill himself
TheGreatNorwie (4 months ago)
the troll living under the bridge is also a reference to the famous norwegian tale name "de tre bukkene bruse"
TheGreatNorwie (4 months ago)
what i like about the season puzzle is that sumar vetr var haust which is awesome in norwegian summer is sommer winter is vinter atumn is høst spring is vår... some of the words that they use in the game makes sense with my scandinavic language.
Saul Martinez (4 months ago)
Kratos will fight Jesus
MrSharkBait561 (4 months ago)
I don't like that the gods know about God's from other realms. What's next? Some characters can freely hop back and forth through other realms outside of Norse mythology? So kratos could've traveled to that realm at any time in the old games? It's kinda dumb.
Selena Is Here (1 month ago)
You do realize that this takes place on earth, right? The old GoW games didn't take place in a different area, but just very south from this one. Kratos just went north.
Alexander 1995 (4 months ago)
It’s very common to stray from the path of enlightenment in this game😉
BigMac Sauce (4 months ago)
Infinity Gauntlet?
P'thag'rn Theor'm (4 months ago)
Y'all are reaching for like half of those...
Junior (4 months ago)
to bad they don't include india 🕉️, maybe because in india they still believe in it and don't want to offend them by making kratos killing krishna, hanuman, shiva, gangga, and brahma as the big one like zeus, odin or amun-ra in egypt. and I hope they also include polynesia where there mauwi, tefiti and teka. china where there neza, sun go kong, shen long. and of course the oldest pantheon in history, sumerian/persian/iranian gods and goddess
Pixi Pix (4 months ago)
an another Easter Egg IMO The "you are Free find your way Home" . He said that if i Remember correctly when Deimos died on his brothers something like "you are free.."
Pétur Arnórsson (4 months ago)
I really like the fact that most ruins and dialogue spoken from Atreus is actually Icelandic

SinObscura (4 months ago)
No Kratos won't be killing the Egyptian gods.
Darrell Sweet (4 months ago)
Other than the "bioshock reference" this was pretty cool.
Stelios Zanias (4 months ago)
I think that the best moment in the game is when kratos is at the boat alone going to get the blades of chaos and seing Athena
Tomas G (4 months ago)
Is it just me or did he miss the infinity stones Easter eggs
gman7112 (5 months ago)
There's also a little Star wars episode 3 reference in the bestiary for the lava ancient ' Why didn't he seek higher ground'
Ethan Fleming (5 months ago)
I thought the lizard with the glowing tail was a Shadow of the Colossus reference. Y'know the glowing lizard tail that increases your stamina
DomHyrule (5 months ago)
No infinity gauntlet?
Rhey Marc Albalos (5 months ago)
#3 is subtle and amazing while #2 is exciting!
David Lee (5 months ago)
I was hoping to have a reference to the ship captain he killed in the first game. Would have been awesome to have him as a spirit in the lake of nine.

When you find a Ratatoskr and use him as a runic summon for Atreus, obviously he'll dig up for stuff and insult you. But when you summon him during a fight, Mimir will start to talk about Ratatoskr, only to be silenced by Kratos telling him that's not the time for such story.
jon s (5 months ago)
Or have a asgard fight and have Odin summon different gods from different realms. The best fighters in those realms. Valhalla awaits

The wolf represents Loki
Adam Montgomery (5 months ago)
I noticed the Bioshock thing too. I wonder if the elf runes say anything on it.
SpartanUruk (5 months ago)
Wow, imagine god of war being set in Japan... now that would be so fricken weird, cool and surreal... just imagine Kratos fighting samurai and mythical dragons and shogun warlords... damn!
elledy92 (1 month ago)
A God of War game wouldn't have Samurai, since is set in the ancient past. Just like in this games Vikings don't exist yet.
Mayank Sharma (5 months ago)
I miss young cratos
YesImGoated (5 months ago)
6:15 maybe it’s showing us where the game will go. Also I think it was Atreus who talks about Egyptian gods so maybe we will go to Egypt then Japanese then Celtic.
Benjamin Parker (5 months ago)
Sindri i the Dwarf also references Jesus when he says, "O ye of little faith" to Kratos.
Mac Jameson (5 months ago)
For that Carole song thing about the seasons, you could’ve played the version Shrek and Donkey sang...
iNREEk (5 months ago)
U forgot thanos's glove. And there's some weird signs on the floor I've seen.i wonder what they are for. They look like circles
iNREEk (5 months ago)
Yeah I seen the shelf. It was dope.
The mech a nic (5 months ago)
The bioshock thing, I thought the same thing !
Chris Smith (5 months ago)
So glad i'm not the only one who was happy to hear Kratos say indeed lol.
AegisInferno (5 months ago)
One reference i found was within the Witches Sanctuary. When you are able to roam around the front area of the garden, the Runes that Atreus needs to read in order to complete the Sand Bowl puzzle, actually spell out the word "Pixar". Now i'm not sure if it's just a coincidence, but it's still pretty neat.
Bailey Lord (5 months ago)
Well if you play the latest assassins creed and look back at the picture with all the lands they look like they're in the same time so Kratos killing an Egyptian god probably meeting the assassin most likely. The games are most likely to collide may take some time and would be a game changer if they do. It's all flippen crazy.
Selena Is Here (1 month ago)
Weedle (5 months ago)
Killer Queen (5 months ago)
Somehow you completely missed the Infinity Gauntlet reference.
Arthur Van Passel (6 months ago)
I feel like the seasons one is pretty far fetched. Winter, spring, summer, fall are just the seasons in order and autumn and fall aren't even the same word.
cheezed (6 months ago)
0:43 wait, that was an Easter egg? I discovered it almost immediately when I entered the room
Moathe Alawadhi (6 months ago)
Finally I can watch the video after finishing the game 😃
Dan Arthur (6 months ago)
6:06 whoa hold the phone!! does it mean we will have kratos mess up with eastern and egyptian mythology?!
Jacob Ulicny (6 months ago)
I honestly forgot about the E3 trailer, I was thinking it was from the folklore of the 3 billy goats and a troll that lives under the bridge
TheFixer710 (6 months ago)
I thought the song of the season's was a reference to avatar the last airbender. Uncle iroh was singing a song 'winter spring summer and fall four season's four loves.'

I killed the lizard thing when i found it bc i was frightened
benny finnigin (6 months ago)
I want them to go completely experimental with the next gow
Fart Tony (6 months ago)
Are some of these confirmed easter eggs or just speculative?
Ryan Miller (6 months ago)
The norns are the fates of the norse mythology btw. Also the shattered gauntlet of ages is the infinity gauntlet
Tyrone Foulkes (6 months ago)
Best Easter egg for me, was in one of the scrolls you pick up that references back to the very first moment of the first game where the captain gets eaten by the hydra. Its been running gag throughout the series so im glad it made into this one as well
Penri Plays (6 months ago)
This is easily the best game this year. I loved seeing the Celtic mythology hinted around the game! Really wanna see a game based on Celtic mythology!
SAVEDBYPARIS (6 months ago)
Told my buddy about the Bioshock easter egg when I first came across it and he told me I was reaching... I knew I was right.
garrett sanchez (6 months ago)
It’s kongo I am a big fan of god of war my biggest surprise was in the game Thor step into their land. you think thor and kratos would like team up or kill each other
Dr. Rockso (6 months ago)
What about being able to see where Odin hung himself and the seeing the noose still hanging from the tree? Coolest Easter Egg in the game in my opinion
Tre Turner Design (6 months ago)
What about the mystery box noise from Call of Duty Zombies when you open the right panel of the lore shrines?
CorruptWarrior (6 months ago)
My favorite Easter egg is during the magic chisel quest when your in the chandelier room. You can break an ice wall and release a blue and green ogre that reminds me very much of sully from monsters Inc
Nick Bock (6 months ago)
At or around the 7 minute mark, the talk about the different symbols of war on the tapestry and "what may come", I remember watching a thing about the development of GoW and how the original creator had a plan to not only play as Kratos but 2 other Gods of War from different pantheons. You would play all three characters and your actions in one mythos would effect the worlds of the others. They may have been referencing what might have been. Or not. Tyr was very interested in all things and trying to understand the other Gods of War may have been crucial to his beliefs.
