Indie Game Development - Time Lapse

Comatose is a indie horror game that explores the dreams, nightmares and realities of a troubled man. He is forced to explore his the darkest reaches of his mind and build back his sanity by reliving his worst nightmares. You will explore a dark and dynamic world through over 100 different events that happen at random while you are exploring. Throughout the game you will trigger events that thrust you into the middle of a nightmare. Using logic, determination and violence you will be forced to fight your way out of the nightmare and reclaim your sanity. These events are randomly generated, so pay attention - you never know what you're getting thrown in to. With a rich and suspenseful atmosphere, Comatose will truly make you sleep with the lights on. The game has been under development for about 1 month these are some of the first sneak previews of the game. Keep in mind that this is pre... pre-alpha. After hopeful funding from our Kickstarter project we can make this game that we envisioned in our heads. Thank you! Before you critique! READ! No TL;DR! and ignore the first thing. - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1zmX_-RXPsGUDDBFHkXrztSw-xxOBYTgfngjipHt562g/pub Pixels and Polygons: An Indie Game Developer Story is at it's core, a self shot documentary being produced to give insight into the life of a "starving artist", or in this case, an independent games developer as he journeys through life, culminating on a stage in what could be a chance at him becoming successful as a professional. The documentary is shot over 4 months time and follows artist Richard Cook under the company AdaptivElite, as he trudges through the trials of becoming a sustainable professional, and the push to help create a successful game and company. The story culminates at the PAX East 2013 game expo in Boston, MA, where Richard and AdaptivElite debut their hard work on one of gaming's biggest stages, in what could be their one and only shot at success. Made entirely of self shot footage, the documentary aims at a more personal take on the life of an indie developer and uncovers the pains and struggles of everyday life balancing 2 jobs, little money, and a role in the industry.

As an indie game developer I felt the need to do share indie games I've worked on over the years and also what I've been learning through the process. I discuss and show you what indie games I shipped and also what I believe to be the most important aspects of game development by taking indie games from an idea to release phases. Shipping indie games takes hard work, indie game developers are one of the most hard working people I've ever met, I truly believe that because I've experienced it myself, indie game development will change your life and by all means is the most fascinating industry I've been involved as a developer.
